After nearly six record-breaking years, the number of paying Everquest customers has finally taken a noticeable dive thanks to the launch of competing MMORPGs Everquest II and World of
Warcraft.
Though the Developers' Corner news release breathlessly announces the arrival of Everquest's "newest server," in reality Sony will be making a different kind of Everquest history on February 08 when it merges four barely-used PVP servers into a single barely-used PVP server in an effort to "revitalize the PVP environment" of Everquest.
