Valve has been the focus of a lot of interesting press in the last year, or so. They lost their code to a hacker, took on piracy with some strict game cafe rules, got into a scrap with their publisher over the Steam distribution system, and now face a lot of criticism from users of the same system. Many of us have had no problems with Steam. But this piece in The Inquirer claims Europe is experiencing consistent issues. More importantly, they claim Valve is throwing a lot of weird restrictions and legalese at customers. Further, the piece claims the policies are illegal. Check it out, especially if you've run into some bumps in the road with HL2 or Steam.
