Gaming soundtracks have come a long way from
the old days of the SID chip in the C64. Of course, it took a lot more talent and creativity to make the SID chip sound
fantastic. Today's scores usually involve pointing a conductor at an orchestra and saying "Have at it!"
Knight of the Temple is an upcoming Xbox and PC title. At the official site, not only is there a demo for the PC, but
there is also the entire game soundtrack in MP3 format. I wish more game developers would do this. In Japan there is a
huge market for game soundtracks. (Metal Gear Solid 2 has four of them I believe.) How long, I wonder, until that
market takes off in the west?
