Your typical gaming laptop tends to be a 4000 dollar behemoth, with enough poundage to match its horsepower. The
combination of heft and excessive price seems to turn on a small segment of our gaming population. For the rest of us
it would be nice to, at least, get a viable option under 2 grand. Enter, the Toshiba Satellite P35.
The machine is no Alienware but it does sport impressive specs:
- 17-inch widescreen LCD monitor
- 100GB hard drive
- 3.3GHz Intel Mobile P4 processor.
- DVD +/- Recorder
- Choice of ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP card or ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 discreet graphics card
- 512MB DDR SDRAM expandable to 2048MB
- Harman Kardon speakers and SRS TruSurround XT
Those are the basics of a gaming rig, folks. And the price? 1800. Nice.
