A year or two ago it felt like, sooner or
later, there had to be a game called Tycoon Tycoon, simply because every possible subject had been covered. Well, the
tycoon style games seem to have tailed off lately. However, the folk at Atari have risen the unlamented genre from the
dead to announce another addition to the other several million tycoon games out there.
Tycoon City: New York City sees you building a business empire in the Big Apple, with "true to life neighborhoods" and
"spectacular New York events". Strangely, I can only think of Dick Clark dropping his balls every year as a spectacular
event…
The tycoon game is, apparently, not dead

i wonder if you're going to be attacked by terrorists once you build your own world trade center? and muggings in central park! and bank robberies, we have at least one a week in the city. and do you lose money if you have a useless subway system (called maybe, uh, the MTA?) that charges too much and gets all your workers to the office late? ooh, maybe you get to be mayor and build ugly stadiums all over the city with tax-payers money in an attempt to disnefy the city and get some stupid olympics cash. hey, the world fair grounds really lasted for a long time, and coney island too, great investments! this game could ROCK!
