EA disses Sega, again
Tipster, thewivil, has made a keen
observation concerning the soundtrack for NBA Street V3. He writes:
In NBA Street v3, during House of Pain's "Jump Around," we are treated to the following: cream of the crop, I rise
to the top …[long pause where the pig/cop line should be]... or better yet a terminator, like Arnold Schwarzenegger
tryin' to play me out like as if my name was …[BLANK] Just another shining example of EA's motto - Challenge
Everything!

A similar thing was done when Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 was released on the Dreamcast.
There is a Redman track in the game "Let's Get Dirty"; it went a little something like this...
I ain't on the guest list, I ain't V.I.P.
I snuck in the exit, learned to D-I-P
My dress code is all black when I'm makin the moves, Similar to the new... [BLANK]
If you can't figure it out,
[BLANK] == Playstation 2
EA isn't the only one that does this type of stuff.

Christ, what's next?!?! Product placement in video games?!?!
Oh wait....oh dear...

Product placement in games is a long-time tradition, as any die-hard racing simmers will tell you. What is unusual is the product placement in some games is now migrating beyond just ambience... but if there's money to be made in it, developers will try it.

Uhhh, THPS 3 wasn't released on the Dreamcast. The series only went so far as to release THPS 2 on the DC.
