Slashdot, conveyor of news for nerds and
stuff that, apparently, matters, has a piece up about what happens when you want to sell your copy of World of
Warcraft.
Now, it's hard to imagine anyone wanting to do such a crazy thing. Everyone I know that is suckling at Blizzard's teat
has no intention of unlatching any time soon and making room at the nipple. However, one day, you may want to abandon
the realm, and sell your copy on to some deserving soul.
Not so fast there, matey! While it's not stated in the EULA, it seems the authentication code can only be used once,
making your copy of WoW utterly worthless in the second hand market, unless someone wants a particularly attractive
coaster.
