The original Alone in the Dark was a classic game. It may have been a little awkward to move around, but developers
were just getting into that whole 3D thing. It could scare you, it was easy to show off to friends and family, and it
looked good (for the times).
Whenever you adapt a classic game into a film, you're looking for trouble. Simple as that. Uwe Boll has found out the
hard way — gamers do not take well to being disappointed. His movie, Alone in the Dark, apparently bit. Mind you, I
haven't had the pleasure, but with sites like the one on the other side of this link I think I'll skip it.
Game-brains.com serves a hell of a roast, throwing up a bunch of anti-Boll links, and generally showing their
displeasure with the flick.
The ire is up, the tempers are flaring, and Uwe Boll should think twice before he directs in this gaming town again.
So tell us, film fans, was it really that bad?
Alone in the Dark director gets the kind of attention we all dread
