Half-Life 2 add-on/expansion rumors heat up

Gameshout is reporting that the Half-Life 2 expansion pack chatter is picking up volume. They claim that verification of the expansion has already been reported to PCGamer Magazine, though no official word yet on what we can expect. Alyx Vance seems to be the focus this time around, which is just fine and dandy as far as we're concerned. Does this mean we get to play a Half-Life game where we can hear our own voice? She was pretty chatty in HL2, so muzzling her in an add-on would be weird.
UPDATE: Nick sends in the latest news, which seems to indicate this is mere rumor. Check it out here. Of course, saying "we haven't announced anything" doesn't necessarily mean that the expansion doesn't exist.
