Ah, beating the system. Is there anything
quite like it? The rush of adrenaline… The moment of triumphant reflection… That feeling of bittersweet glory as
you revel in your victory over the collective methods meant to keep you down. It's a good feeling. Albeit a feeling
often attained through, well… dubious means. This is the story of one such man, with one such scheme,
all centering around the MMORPG Eve. It's a very well-written piece, and raises some interesting
philosophical questions. Think about it, how much trust can you invest in someone you've never met in real
life? Is fulfillment ultimately possible from such an intangible virtual world? Anyway, it's a good read, so check
it out. I find the ending particularly satisfying.
