It's always nice to hear the bigwigs say they're worried. We run around, trying to make ends meet, while CEOs play
golf and hide mistresses — right? Not if you're a game console executive. Satoru Iwata admitted in an interview that
everyone is worried that this next generation of machines may be too much for the market to handle. He basically says
that rising manufacturing costs, and a hardcore gamer appeal (to the detriment of mainstream appeal) could sink the
industry.
It does appear that some of his concerned comments are hype, though. He talks about the Revolution being so, uh,
revolutionary that game developers may not sign on. That's like saying you're really worried you won't be asked to the
prom because your good looks may scare away the boys.
