The last few months have seen all sorts of abuse hurled at
Electronic Arts. They locked up the exclusive NFL license to a chorus of disapproval. They signed a deal with ESPN.
Plus there were the ongoing stories of employees not being paid overtime, having no lives outside of work, and
generally being miserable while EA raked in large piles of cash.
The story doing the rounds now is that Electronic Arts will begin paying some employees overtime. Those who will be
paid overtime will have, quote, "very structured work days". So the Electronic Arts Victorian Workhouse for Young
Programmers may be getting a little more friendly. Though the "structured work days" sound ominous.
