The crusade against games continues

GTA Myst

North Carolina is jumping on the bandwagon. More political maneuvering on the backs of the game industry; how fun. This time around City Hall is trying to make game sellers educate the public on the ratings system. Fair enough. They do that now, as it is, with signage and ID checks. But by putting it in the books as law, vendors would become more liable if an adult game ends up in a minor's hands.

"If you see the number of hours that young children are watching these video games," co-sponsor Senator Hagan said, "and then the aggressive behavior that many people feel is very much a direct result of spending time watching these games — many, many people are crying out for this."

Many, many people are crying out for you to govern, not parent, as well, Senator. Will you listen to them?
