Nintendo announced three more titles in its
non-gamer lineup. Tipster, Chris
Norman, has the scoop:
The DS is turning out to be an interesting little beastie - in addition to titles like Electroplankton and Nintendogs, 3 new titles have been announced: two "Brain training" puzzle games, and an English<->Japanese dictionary that includes voice chat and the ability to draw kanji on screen.
Now, if the brain training puzzle games are anything like Sierra's "Dr. Brain" PC series of games, these could be killer on-the-go games. And definitely help expand the gamer market for the device. And the dictionary would certainly be on my must-buy list if it ever came overseas (maybe then I could understand the story parts of my imported copy of Mr. Driller DS). Of course, like most quirky Japanese titles, it remains to be seen whether these will make it overseas. But with Nintendo really pushing to grow the market, I would expect them to be picked up by a third party at least.
[Thanks Chris!]
