Up here in Montreal, Ubisoft and the provincial gov have struck a deal with the University of Sherbooke to form a Ubi "Campus" of sorts, training game creators. Except what everybody seems to forget is this type of 'deal' only means to feed the game industry tailored cannon fodder, so they don't have to 'waste' resources on training newly-hired personel.

We were just in Orlando (where UCF is) and the UCF gaming program is basically there for direct competition to Full Sail's gaming program (Full Sail is a large media arts tech school in Orlando). I think UCF has noticed EA's presence there, and the fact that Full Sail has expanded about 4 times in the last 5 years (and is raking in the cash) and wants in on the new hot trend down there.

HA! That jerkhole Jack Thompson's own state is trying to get game companies to move there! I hope they do and move in next door to his office!
