If you've ever read the works of H.P.
Lovecraft, chances are you either absolutely loved his work, or absolutely loathed it. Those who love him think he was
a genius. Those who don't, think he was a hack. Regardless, very few authors works, save perhaps Tolkien, have endured
quite as well as dear old Lovecraft and his tales of unspeakable horrors afflicting normal people.
Dark Corners of the Earth sees you as a private investigator sent to investigate a missing person during the 1920's.
This isn't the first Cthulhu game, but it's shaping up to be the nicest looking. Hardly an achievement these days,
though. Very little is given away in the screenshots, but a few of them really seem to capture the atmosphere of
Lovecraft's work. Also, if they can pull off the sanity effects nicely, this could be one heck of a scary game.
