wow... good thing the DS has the second screen. should come in handy. maybe they can show your points up there or find something even less useful.

Thanks Nintendo for cutting our playing screen in half and making us play all these "great games" on the bottom.

Cant wait what they have in store for GTA for the DS...maybe they could scroll some text up there..wait, never mind, DS cant handle GTA sorry.

What are you talking about? If the GBA can handle GTA, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the DS can as well.

And have you actually played a DS game? Because very few games actually show the action on the bottom screen... most use it as it was described, as a 'touch screen controller.' The top screen is where you view things, the bottom is a GUI.

And I can't really see how adding a second screen could ever be 'cutting our playing screen in half.'

In regards to the story, this is going to be awesome. Katamari was a great game, neigh, a fantastic game. The multiplayer was great but, of course, limited by the split-screen mode. Can you imagine WiFi Katamari multiplayer, eight players rollin' around all over the place? Sweet.

See, in between the bouts of fanboy hate, if you look carefully, you'll notice that both Sony and Nintendo are busting their asses to make their respective handhelds the one to have. Which means more good games for consumers. And ensures both hardware and software prices will remain competitive. And encourages cool shit like wireless multiplayer.

I'm excited to have a portable KD at all, since it is a perfect fir for on-the-go play. And yes, I'm also excited about multiplayer wireless katamari rollin'.

I think the idea of actually being able to roll your Katamari (with similar controlls to the Pokemon race game, or the snowball minigame from Mario DS) is very cool.

Isn't it kind of amusing that the image used for Katamari Damacy in the article above has the timer showing 5 seconds left. 05. Looks like DS.

...Interesting.

Hey Mara Kotobuki, the time up there... show's minuntes... not seconds. Shows you havn't played Katamari. Maybe this game will give me a reason to get a DS, so far just none of the games appeal that much to me to spend more money on the handheld then the consol. (DS vs Gamecube) Perhapes Katamari 2 will be released on both then?

This is amazing news. I loved katamari on ps2 and I can see the DS interface and ball rolling will be the perfect match.

Selling your DS for a PSP is silly, you should get them both ;)

I notice my mistake now... but either way, the MINUTE display then shows 05 minutes... which, in that font looks like the letters DS. That's the interesting part. Yes, it could look like OS too, but I just thought it was interesting that it looks like DS. They didn't pick an image that had 07 minutes left, or 02 minutes, or the final few second countdown... Think about it. ^_^

technically it is quite possible for a gta title on a GBA DS.Have you seen the screens of Driv3r for the GBA?Itīs in 3D.And at kinda looks like GTA.On par with a few coments up there the second screen will best be used as a map,or better yet to improve the chances that the game has good 3d they should stick to focus the 2 proccesors of the DS to power up 1 screen.
