According to Cubed3 (via Nintendo Power mag) Nintendo has partnered with Gamespy to provide the matching service for their wireless initiative. Iwata-san seems to indicate that free hotspots will provide gamers with the connection they need, while Gamespy will provide them with the handshake. That leaves the Big N to provide the content, along with the myriad of devs who want to jump on board.
