IGN has the scoop on the voice actors who will be providing the voices for both Ganondorf and Link in the
upcoming sequel to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind
Waker. Takashi Nagasako will be once again voicing the Prince of Theives himself, having supplied assorted grunts
as well as Ganondorf's trademark laugh for both Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. Noboyuki Hayama
will be playing the part of the Hero of Time, supplying us with Link's familiar yells and utterances that we'll come to
memorize and cherish.
IGN also briefly picks at the topic of real-live spoken dialogue, which I discount for a few reasons. One, aside from
Star Fox, I can't recall any Nintendo-developed game ever featuring spoken dialogue. Two,
Link's never been much of a conversationist, and I can't see Shigeru Miyamoto breaking that trend. To the extent of my
knowledge, the longest line that Link has ever had was "..." which hardly counts as speaking at all.
At the very least, this confirms that Ganondorf will indeed play an active role in the next Zelda game. "What a
surprise!" says the sarcasm gnome. Yes, indeed, to which I can only respond with a resounding "..."
