
If you were to take the premise of a touchpad screen controller, plant it in the head of millions of Nintendo fans,
and let them browse the Web for stories, there's only one conclusion they would draw.
Nintendo is going to give us a touchpad screen controller.
No, there's no proof. Yes, it's all hearsay. But read the interviews with Iwata, or any other Nintendo rep, and you
begin to see how the device plays right into their idea of simpler gaming.
Imagine freeing the developer to build their own control scheme. If they want to put a face on the screen where the
nose is the joystick, the eyes were the buttons and the ears were sliders, they could do that. Yeah, awful example, but
that's why I'm writing about games, not making them. All in all, it sounds like a very early 21st Century Nintendo
thing to do.
