Man, Nintendo's really pulling out all the stops to promote this whole "Touching is Good" campaign. Not content with letting you manipulate scorpions, plumbers, and urinating statues by way of your NDS, Nintendo has now challenged its fans to create a real-life movie or photo op that best personifies that touching is good, somehow incorporating a spooky detached mannequin hand. What's that? No spare mannequin appendages lying around the house? Well, you can either take a hacksaw down to Macy's and amputate your own, or just ask Nintendo via their online order form and they'll send you one, completely free of charge. And as a grade-A cheapskate, I feel compelled to order one just for the hell of it. Get your movie or picture in before May 6, when the judges will decide whose entry best embodies their latest mantra. Grand prize is $1,000, a Nintendo DS, and four games. Astute readers will also take note that nowhere does Nintendo specify the kinds of videos that you can enter, leading me to believe that they'll be receiving some… less than appropriate entries. So, when your girlfriend asks why a severed hand just arrived in the mail, tell her to use her imagination. After all, touching is good.
Prove to Nintendo that Touching is Good
