Reality check: according to the Seattle Times, Sony's PSP
debut was far from the nationwide sellout celebration it was billed to be. While gaming retailers like EB or
GameStop hosted midnight openings, quickly unloading their pre-ordered inventory, other outlets, like Target, have been
watching their stockpiles of PSPs collect dust. Apparently, there were more than enough units to satisfy the hype
hounds, and now the question remains: will anyone else buy the PSP?
PSP launch a dud?

When the PSP comes down in price people will buy it. In Canada, I have to fork out $350 for the package and then games are $50 a pop. WTF??? For $60 I can have a PS2 or XBOX game. The magic price is $20 for games and $200 for the system in all markets. All they're doing is rejigging PS1 games anyway. F--king SONY. No wonder their market share has dried up. Losers.

@Sheldo, you're completely wrong there. Look at Nintendo DS' launch price. It's just a matter of the launch date, DS was released in the holiday season. This def gives it a sales boost. And considering how bad the hardware is compared to the PSP, I'd say those buyers were ripped off. You can easily get a PSP for $250 (or less) online shipped, meaning no tax for most people.
And what's this about Sony rejigging PS1 games for PSP? Have you seen ANY PSP games? At all? If you have and you can still say that, then I guess they're 'rejigging PS1 games' for the PS2 as well. NFS, Ridge Racer, Fifa etc. You're a genius.
And $20 for games? You're kidding me. Even GBA games cost more than that.
