So we now have an extra couple of months before one of the signs of the apocalypse appears. That
being the release of the Doom movie.
The movie has been bumped from August, down to October. So, bumped out of the lucrative summer period, into the not so
lucrative fall/winter period. Interesting. Are Universal smelling turkey, and moving it closer to Thanksgiving?
No mention as to why it's been bumped, but at least we get an extra couple of months before our hopes of a decent
movie are dashed horribly.
Doom movie delayed. Armageddon avoided for a bit

August is often where many studios dump bad films that they could find a better spot for. As well, October tends to be a good month for scary movies. Universal may be trying to sell it as the must see Halloween movie.

Yep... August is the slush pile of summer movie season. Now they've moved Doom into the no-man's land between blockbuster (summer) and oscar bait (late fall/early winter).
But like John said, they could be pulling for the Halloween horror crowd so they haven't given up all hope yet. If it gets moved into February though, you know it's dead.

Smells like turkey my ass. The movie is going to rock. Creatures identical to the game. John Wells wrote and produced. Just wait and see. I think everyone will be (un)pleasantly surprised.

Ah, your official worst pun ever, and also the line that has me laughing the hardest. I like cheese, and you lay it on THICK.

John Wells is involved in DOOM. The guy's a class act. He has interesting projects in the works such as "A Million Little Pieces," "Trailer Park Boys, "The Breathtaker," "Every Word is True." And "ER" and "The West Wing," etc. He's got really good taste. I think DOOM has a chance to be the heir to Cameron's ALIENS.
