Doom movie delayed. Armageddon avoided for a bit

So we now have an extra couple of months before one of the signs of the apocalypse appears. That being the release of the Doom movie.

The movie has been bumped from August, down to October. So, bumped out of the lucrative summer period, into the not so lucrative fall/winter period. Interesting. Are Universal smelling turkey, and moving it closer to Thanksgiving?

No mention as to why it's been bumped, but at least we get an extra couple of months before our hopes of a decent movie are dashed horribly.
