Movies based on the software industry are
rare. In fact the only one that springs to mind is Pirates of Silicon Valley. While the movie took a lot of liberties
with the truth, it still made for a great yarn. Noah Wyle nailed Steve Jobs. (In the acting sense. Not the
biblical.)
Showtime is planning on taking the non-fiction book about Id Software, called Masters of Doom, and making it into a
movie. No word yet on casting or anything, but the writer works on CSI, so hopefully they know their stuff, and they
work on the good CSI, not the runt offspring.
Now, let the rampant casting speculation begin.
