I still remember buying the first Evil Dead, and finding out it was painfully mediocre. Even the vocal talents of Bruce Campbell couldn't save it.
So here we go again, (no) thanks to THQ. Maybe I'm just an Evil Dead purist, but the plot sounds dire, not fitting in
remotely with the three movies. If they were going for logic, they'd have to put the movie after Army of Darkness, (the
"happy ending" version) but the article quite clearly says Evil Dead 2. Plus, referring to that classic movie as a
"seminal action movie" raises more than just a quizzical eyebrow. It raises the question of whether the publisher has
even seen the movie. (Die Hard is a seminal action movie.) Couple this news with the fact that Raimi is considering
remaking his original classic, and you can find me over in the corner here, weeping softly.
Expect the game to suck this summer. Sorry, I meant ship.
A new Evil Dead game… Oh dear.
