If you're pondering a new GeForce 6800 card you may want to check out Gamespot's round-up of the GT series. The
$350+ card isn't quite the cream of the crop, but it has a lot of gamers hot under the collar for its heatsinks. It
sports CineFX 3.0, PureVideo, UltraShadow II, along with DirectX9.0c and Pixel Shader 3.0 compatibility. The list

I have the BFG Geforce 6800 Ultra and the performance boost over an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro was huge. I was able to get it for $400 last summer through a $100 MIR.
I'm guessing that a few of the cards are repeated on the list because there are PCI-Express versions available...

Do you think the 6800GT Will run f.e.a.r. well. I played the demo with my fx5700 it runs ok but have to use dx8 shadders ??? And when I use dx9 shadders it is so very slow ! Not playable at all.
