Star Wars Galaxies: The Total Experience gives us its all

If you've been waiting for the right time to jump into Star Wars Galaxies, now may be good. With the last of the films coming out soon, the hype is about to go ballistic (anyone else seen the Chewie ringtone commercial?). And with new hype, comes new product.
The SW: Galaxies series is getting its next expansion pack with Rage of the Wookies (hehheh). Lucas is offering the title, along with the original and the first expansion, in one tight package. That's three games in one. Well, it's actually one game in three, but…
The package will have exclusives, including the BARC Speeder. The press release descibes the vehicle as "the land vehicle of choice for the specialized Biker Advanced Recon Commandos during the Clone Wars, this speeder will take players to the edges of the 11 Star Wars planets Galaxies has to offer on May 26th!"

Dear players of Star Wars Galaxies,
Currently a new expansion and modification is in progress that, when it goes live, will alter the game we all love. Many players have come forward about the problems in the current game and Sony said they'd fix all these ages ago. However, instead of listening to the players what we want, they have gone overboard with their Combat Upgrade.
As it is now, the game has some shortcomings:
- Professions are unbalanced in comparison
- Most armor types is useless due to Composite being too overpowered
- The game suffers from technical difficulties, which Sony has ignored for far too long. Heavy lag, client crashes, lock-ups and lack of support for GeForce cards.
Instead of fixing these issues, their priority has slipped towards upgrading the combat system. Unlike the name suggests, the changes they are making aren't to the combat system alone. Basically the whole game is getting a complete overhaul. Combat will be generic, non-dynamic and very poorly designed. The HAM system, which was very unique to Star Wars Galaxies will be simplified. Apart from those changes, Sony will also change the graphics, sounds, interface, hotkeys, chef, doctor and entertainer buffs, which will make their role in the game less fun. This will have an effect on everyone in the game. Many people tried the CU (Combat Upgrade) on the test servers and decided to leave the game and many more will follow when it goes live.
How Sony can ignore this is beyond the players and thus we would like to appeal to both Sony Online Entertainment and Lucasarts Entertainment Company, to cancel the CU and fix the game in it's current form, instead of turning it into a generic online roleplaying game, like Everquest 2. After all, the players didn't want all of this, all we wanted were minor changes, not a total overhaul.
WE WANT TO ACHIEVE THE STAR WARS FEELING!!

With the new Combat Upgrade from SOE for Star Wars Galaxies, don't bother buying or playing this game. Despite an negative rating of 75% or more, Sony Online Entertainment rolled the Combat Upgrade out in April which has devestated the playability of this game.
I'm am finding that many players have left and the server for one galaxy is now a virtual ghost town. In addition, 4 out of 5 posts I have read on the Internet are of people who have or are planning to cancel their accounts.
That should give potential buyers some insight into whether or not they should buy this game. Check EB games online for an accurate description of the game as it stands with the new Combat Upgrade that has seriously Downgraded this game.
On final thought... go play World of Warcraft.
