A British Microsoft source has claimed that
the Xbox port of Half-Life 2 will be released in Europe in September. Valve's Dave Lombardi has also suggested
that the Xbox version should be finished by late summer—US reports claim August. Lombardi added that the
"Aftermath" (PC add-on) content would not
be added to the Xbox version.
There was some speculation that Half-Life 2 would become a launch title for the Xbox 360, but it's safe to say that
those rumors have been officially laid to rest. But perhaps that would have been a more favorable option, as
recent grumblings around the web have complained that the visuals have taken quite a hit in the Xbox translation.
Whatever the case, this new version should be exactly the same as the original (PC) as far as content goes. We'll
keep you posted.

it says THIS summer.
Maybe, just maybe, it may mean that in the sense "this year"... ?

I wonder if XBOX users will have to connect it to XBOX Live before they can play.
