In all the hubbub over consoles, it's hard to keep our eyes on the real prize…games. We're looking for a few good ones to spotlight around here. We know all about the AAA titles. Black & White 2, From Russia With Love, Star Wars: Empire at War. They're all fine and dandy. But which "quiet" games on the horizon do you think we should keep our eyes on?
I'm talking about Serious Sams, Chronicles of Riddicks, Brothers in Arms — the dark horses, the ninjas that sneak up on you when you're not looking. Do you get that sense from anything out there?
For instance, I see a lot to like about Hellgate: London. It's a first-person POV Diablo hack and slash title, with members of the original Diablo team on board. The idea may be a little wonky, but that's what we're looking for here. Something that catches your eye because it's too nuts to work.
Another example would be Rag Doll Kung Fu. We'll let the game clip do the talking.
