This image was just posted on the ourcolony.net ARG. It looks like it might be another possiblity for being an
Xbox 360 logo.
If this is an actual ourcolony image (we've been sent images in the past that were just colony avatars)
then it would be a preferable logo to the other one that's
doing the rounds. I think it's more likely to be part of the startup screen that Major Nelson
wrote about on his blog.
Another ourcolony image - Xbox 360 logo or Major Nelson's spine tingler?

Seems like everyone was glad on Joystiq to read the Engadget interview with Bill Gates, yet no one seems to have actually read it. Repeatedly in that article Gates refers to the next Xbox as Xenon. He said it was the projects code name, that he likes the name, and never references "Xbox 360".
At least from the way that interview went, I think we should all abandon the 360 title in favor of the Xenon badging as Gates already has.

You're just upset that it's called Xbox 360, aren't you, zach?

yeh its most likely not a logo...and Joe is completly right about the whole code name thing...why would you not use the code name? duh.
IMHO I think its from the beggining of the start up screen...you can see the green X being kind of wraped around the "circle of light"

I agree it looks like the animation that plays as soon as you turn on your Xbox. Or it could be the Xbox Live login animation..?

Or perhaps YOU didn't read it Zach - Bill Gates states that he's "going to call it Xenon" for the purposes of the interview... Still no 'official' naming on tha damn thing.
I don't think 'Xenon' would be a good name, as it would leave behind the hard work and growth MS has done with the 'XBox' name and brand. I doubt they will drop all of that. I'm still hoping for 'XBox Next,' but "360" is surfacing more and more... Oh well. I can understand these choices, as they would allow MS to either A) avoid numbers (Xbox Next) or sidestep the consumer's subconscious "Sony's '3' is nexter-gen than Microsoft's '2'" (XBox 360). But "Xenon?" Not something I want to hear for three years.
Either way, my early but not-too-clever prediction is this:
Game-title DVD boxes will switch from the signature green to a WHITE plastic.
There you go.

Yeah it does look a bit over the top to be a logo, BUT the path has 'logos' in it: http://www.ourcolony.net/images/logos/11104275.jpg. Interesting, indeed.

It looks like the power button to me with maybe some photo editing to make the light given off look like an X.

Came across this rather interesting image while searching for pics of the lovely miss Bilson
http://img161.echo.cx/my.php?image=bilson2sc.jpg
Title of the topics was "Rachel Bilson at Xbox Next console launch party"
Image has that awful green swirly thing on it, but on the right hand side what looks to be a proper logo and the begining of the name which is "XE" now ill wager its XENON
thoughts?
