Everyone probably knows there has been a big
legal dispute between Vivendi Universal, and Valve, creators of the behemoth known as Half-Life. Well, said dispute is
at an end. Who won? Hard to tell, but we know who lost.
We did. If you want to buy a boxed version of any Valve title, better do it before the end of August. The agreement
has them all being pulled from store shelves at the end of that month. Bottom line: If you want HL2, you'll have to get
it from Steam.
The publisher of the Xbox version of HL2 is unknown at this time, with all questions to Vivendi being referred to Valve.
