Engadget snags multiple Xbox 360 pics

xbox360 console

There is no rest for the folks at Engadget. They work 24/7 to get the latest on hardware, and that certainly remains true for everything Xbox 360. They've given us three peeks at the console and its peripherals in the last day. All of them sweet.

First up is the big 'un. The console itself. Apparently taken by someone at the MTV event with a cell phone camera, the shot shows the console in all its glory, along with a headset and what could be the eye toy device that has been rumored.

Then there's the shot of the controller. The silver X is a great touch. Overall, a nice looking accessory, though we wonder what the extra button/ball is for. It doesn't look like a scrolling device (you'll notice the numbers 1-4 on each corner of the "X", which would imply that it's clickable).

Then, the remote control. Yup, this puppy will let you do everything the original Xbox did, plus more. Though we'll have to wait for the MTV special to know exactly what else it can do.

Next up, (from Team Xbox)a peek at the reported skinnable feature of the box. Hey, when Allard said he thought people wanted to customize their gaming experience, he wasn't kidding.

So that about wraps up this mystery. Where's the PS3 and Revolution?
