If you have several grand lying around, and you love Tetris, you may want to check out this product. Jill sends in word that she stumbled across some Tetris shelves in Brooklyn this weekend. The modular furniture (built by Brave Space) is on the pricey side, at around $350 per unit, but the final result (almost $7000 for the units above) is really impressive. Now if we could just find someone who can make a good Tetris title for the GBA or DS…

I could go down to Ace Hardware and BUILD MY OWN Tetris shelves. Actually.. that's a damn fine idea. Better yet, some one could build the Well as the sides and then stack the blocks inside of it. That would look pretty clever...

You could easily do these (much) cheaper by building them yourself -- and BraveSpace was nice enough to give you the dimensions on their sales sheet. But keep in mind that what they are offering is a very nicely finished product (beveled edges, nice wood veneer, etc) and that what they are offering is likely to be much lighter and stronger than what you could build yourself out of some cheap pine from the local HomeDepot. Don't let that stop you though! Make!

If the blocks are in the same colors in Tetris that will be even better!

Love the look of these shelves. They're hot.
Home Depot in Manhattan has a version of these that's much, much cheaper, though not nearly as nice. You pay for what you get.

Am I the only one that has a problem with shelving units that explode when they fill up the width of a wall? What a stupid idea for furniture.
