Xbox 360 Prices

About what I expected.

Hope it's not £360 in the UK!?! Thats loads should be half that going by currency!

But I bet it ends up being this much with all those extra bit's and pieces + a game.

I hope the cheaper version is backward compatible because if not that would suck hard.THe 360 will clearly be the winner this generation, just think the ps2 came out before the xbox and sold more but it had less power than the xbox.Now the xbox 360 comes out with less power than the ps3,am I the only one recognizing this trend? Backward compatibility without a hard drive is pretty much impossible. Xbox games are hardwaired to use the drive for caching and will in most cases crashed or error out if it isn't there.

If this is accurate that is a hell of a lot of swag for a mere additional $60, especially since the hard drive removes the need to buy a memory card. Just getting the hard drive and features it enables for that price would be a good deal and closer, I suspect, to the reality.

I think they got the price point of $360 from the "360" in "Xbox360."

Whatever happened to the good ol' days of including a full game with the console?

That's what I hated about the PS2 & Xbox. You have to buy the console for $200 (or whatever the original price was) then spring another $50 on a game.

What are the games going to cost for these new systems? $60? No thanks, game industry.

For $360 A LOT of people would get the upgrade. Hell, a wireless controller these days is about $40 or so by itself.

im definitely gonna get one. i got a ps2 on ebay, and i was happy at first, and as soon as i saw my friends xbox playing halo and mechassault, i was like WTF and wished i had saved my dollars. and with those specs there is nothing that will stop me from getting one.

First off all you ps2 fan-boys the name of the new console is ps3 not ps2 dumbass. If you are talking about the ps2 the xbox is much better. The reason why the xboxb360 is going to win is because it will be half the price of the ps3 and have twice the functionality. shure the ps3 will be able to play DVD's, but the old xbox could do that. The xbox 360 will be the entertainmant hub of your home, it will be you gaming, your tv, your mesenger, your DVD player, your everything. the xbox360 has twice the functionality of the ps3.

ps3 fans, whipe the drool off your mouths. if i beleived it was going to be worth it to fork over that much cash for a game console like ps3, i would surely do it. i had a ps2, and it didnt perform half as well as my xbox does. it doesnt matter what you little twelve year olds think is going to happen. microsoft has developed a much larger fan base than ps2, and they know which one were buying.

i have a ps2 and when i started togo up to my friends house to play xbox it was a whole lot better than ps2 i wouldve bought a xbox then but not enough money:( 2 days ago my new egm came with an article on xbox 360 and its gunna be awesome! i cant wait till november im already saving go xbox 360 screw all you playstation geeks

ya, the scenario in 31 posted by pntblr is almost exactly what happened to me. and the spcs of ps3 probably wont sway me, number 22 and 23, because M$ has something sony never will.... halo!

oh ya, and plus xbox live is way better than the ps online system from what ive heard, and all my friends are getting the 360, so that will be another imprtant thing for me. i cant play against them if we have different consoles.

The argument between which console will "win" is kinda silly, since most people will end up owning an XBOX 360, a PS3, AND a Nintendo Dolphin (or whatever it's going to be called. Each system will have it's own kick-ass games AND games that really aren't so kick-ass. Can't we all just get along?

the ps3 has the most powerful graphics card in the world, plus it can link with my psp from anywhere in the world over the internet. That means i can listen to music or watch movies on my psp whenever i want just by linking to the ps3. I think the xbox360 will be great. But personaly i am a fan of both. I dont care about prices ill save up to get both xbox360 and the PS3 cause some games that i like arent on both. so everyone stop arguing and just by both.

The xb360 was way more detailed then i expected. The graphics were so amazing u could actually see dirt marks on guns for example. But i thought the consle would look cooler but the plain white kinda gives it a pale look to it and the graphics details are bout 20 bucks so it kinda is a uh dont know the word for it but it sucks. But all in all i would 10.0 for game play 9.4 for the consle look. Great system.
