The first thing that occured on reading this was "That's a pretty nifty copy protection idea!" I
mean
okay, 3D glasses aren't that hard to come
by, but if parts of the game are in 3D, they're going to look dog ugly without them. Though, of course, you could make
your own if you find the right color candy wrappers. Candy wrappers as cracking tool. Funny. "I'm not violating the
DMCA, I'm just hungry."
As you may have guessed, Sly 3 will have parts that are in 3D. The game will ship with a pair of 3D glasses. I wonder
what sort of replacement program they'll be running? They look pretty flimsy. Plus, will they take into account those
of us who have to wear glasses?
With Sly's cartoon style, 3D could work exceptionally well. It's also worth noting that this is the first time in a long time that a company has tried 3D in a game. If it's pulled off well, we're quite certain it will be amazing. There's even a screenshot of a 3D section. So if you've got a pair of glasses kicking around, give them a try.
