Denial of Service attack. It's inventive, we'll give it that.
To sum it up, someone could sniff the keys coming in to Gamespy, reproduce them, and in so doing, make it so every key
sniffed would register as being currently in use. Ultimate result: You ain't playing online until the hole is fixed. Of
course, the big question is whether anyone can actually pull this off. Any game that uses Gamespy (or Lamespy as it is
to some) is vulnerable if it uses a CD key. If someone does it, kiss online play goodbye in a ridiculous number of
games.
