The video we WANTED to see about the Xbox 360

xbox 360 skins

For us hardcore/diehard/professional gamers, the MTV show was a disappointment. But it wasn't made for us. It was made for the mainstream, whoever they are (I just know they watch MTV). If you want to see a video that speaks to us, check this one out. We linked to it in the body of the live event post, but it deserves its own place on Joystiq.

Yes, it's marketing-speak. Yes, it's got J Allard telling us how they "goosed it, tweaked it, spun it and fabricated it." (The man is a genius. I'm serious. Only he can pull this stuff off.) But, the bottom line is this video is well-done, informative and presented to the smart ones (uh, that's you and I, in this particular case). You get to hear the designers and engineers and developers go nuts on the potential of the console.

I have to say, my first impressions of the Xbox 360 and its offerings is favorable. At this point, I'm trying to take all the data in — separate out the gold from the fool's gold. Let's sleep on it.

The clip is getting hit hard. Anyone know of a mirror?
