Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories at E3

We're not sure if this is the official title of the upcoming Sony PSP GTA game, but Clutch wrote:

I was able to check out a few of the booths being built at E3 this afternoon, one of which was that of Rockstar Games. It was pretty simple—basically just a bunch of buses parked inside a chainlink fence—but the important part was what was painted on the buses. You see, each one was dedicated to a different Rockstar project, and, nestled between a Midnight Club bus and a Bully bus (delightful alliteration, might I add), was a bus that was painted totally black but for a bit of text that read, "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" directly beneath the PSP logo. Could this be the official title of GTA PSP?

Awsome. I have not purchased my psp yet. As soon as this game is released, the psp will be mine.

If joystiq had stars, like tvsquad and cinematical did, and clutch was a comment poster, clutch should, like totally, get like a star.

I have a feeling this will make the PSP take off just as much as the series did for the PS2. I can't wait.

Some reckon that the limitations of the PSP hardware (esp loadtimes from UMD and RAM) will mean it wont be as free roaming as previous titles. Looking forward to seeing how it will pan out though.

You gotta remember that PS2 also has some pretty bad loading times :P don't mean nothing you can still make a damn nice game. Also it is called liberty city stories http://www.rockstargames.com/libertycitystories/ :) cant wait

It will be good, but it will be a short game, hence the name liberty city stories. i think it will still be an essential to psp owners, i know i cant wait!!!

All that clutch said is true. I just want to add as a sort of confirmation is that if he'd gone to the front desk of the compound he'd of been able to pick up Liberty City Stories postcards aswell as a cd-rom outlining the specs of both that and Warriors for the PS2.

According to this text which can be found at www.atomicpixie.com/product.asp?id=4738 , I am guessing that this game is going to have the same missions as in GTA III with a handful of new missions being added, but thats only my understanding of this text. "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is an entirely new game in the Grand Theft Auto series and brings an unprecedented mobile dimension to this epic experience. The original storyline and all new missions take place in Liberty City, featuring the interactive, open environment, superb voice talent and diverse music that have become pioneering trademarks of the series."

I think this whole PSP exclusive thing is a load of garbage. RockStar doesnt seem to remember who carried them with their interesting but weak kneed GTA in the beginning. Well it was us PC gamers wasn't it? I felt snubbed to begin with when San Andreas was ported to game consoles over a year before it hit the PC market. But still, I dished out the money not only for the software but almost 1500.00 more for a PC that would adequately run the game. NOW YOU'RE TELLING ME I HAVE TO BUY A STOOPID PSP TO BE ABLE TO PLAY THE NEXT GAME?? I have to view it on a screen half the size of the palm of my hand?? Some of us who have been among RockStar's staunchest supporters are truly disgusted that they would sell out like this. What a bunch of liars! You think we're so stoopid that we beleive you when you say that you dont care how much money it costs you to make "Liberty City Stories" as long as it continues the series' standard of excellence?? BS! You would care alright if you werent deep in Sony's pockets! After such a betrayal I cant help wonder why did I bother with a 400mhz GeForce 5700LE OC 256meg card or a 450Gig SATA/1.5GigDDR800 system when my P3 was previously adequte for GTA3 and Vice City??? YOU SUCK ROCKSTAR!! FRAK YOU!
