There was one moment during the Xbox 360 unveiling on MTV where my eyes lit up. After mind-numbing catch phrases and
teenie-bop shenanigans I was about to fall asleep, when suddenly a lineup of potential Xbox 360s was revealed. It was
intriguing to see all of these failures on display for the world to ponder. It reminded me of me in grade school
waiting to be picked for kickball.
One of them is just awful. It would have been me in grade school. It's the second one on the left in the pic above,
and it looks like a current Xbox on its side, with lots of ports. That MS designer? Fired! From the looks of it, they
went for the concave look from early on and stuck with it ("it's like an inhaling"). The most promising candidate is
probably the one on the far left of the panoramic shot (click on the Read link to see it).
Personally, I've decided I love the design of the final product. I think the thing looks great, and I want it. I like
the controllers, the camera, the hefty specs and the tweaks to the multimedia stuff. I like the Ring of Light premise,
and the removable hard drive.
Now, on to the games…
