The stuff by RevPatentLeaker, it's so mysteroius it just makes me want to read more.
Who's this RevolutionRevealer guy? Is he RevPatentLeaker? Anyway, I'll wait and see if RevPatentLeaker can give us a date for the next big announcement and maybe some information regarding it. If he can get something well before any major gaming sites do, we will all have more reason to believe him.
I am very excited by the Rivorushion (hooray for engrish!) controller. I only hope that both the analog stick and standard shell attachment are packaged with controllers, because they will both be necessary for most games.

The Revolution cometh

Here's a clue for all of RevPatentLeaker's sheep, if you want to know when the next big Nintendo announcement will be:
check the web for when the next big Games Show is.
I think it's X'05 or something next month and see if Nintendo will have a press conference there. I think there is one in December too that I'm pretty sure they are confirmed at. You could have found out about Nintendo's presence at TGS well before RevPatentLeaker's announcement of the 16th date if you had a little initiative. Then, you would've had your own flock.
By the way, December is when Nintendo WILL reveal their actual console. FYI, the video was just marketing (they weren't actually playing games) and the controller demos were on PCs.

Bizarro K Rool & 666, boy Fellas, when your right your right, what Rare must be thinking now ..... man I don't even want to think, but I bet it isn't nice.

Were they pushed or did Nintendo WANT to sell them, ( somebody clear this up for me).

. If only Nintendo kept them am sure we might have seen some classics from them, I couldn't tell you my reaction when I heard THAT, phoaw! I WAS FUMING ): ( !!!!!!!

. They could have continued creating brilliant games, together bringing more of nintendo franchises and replicating them .... IN THEIR OWN LIGHT .

. Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark, Conker .... AWWWW MAN!!!!!

I know that they have pledge support for DS ( which is something) but imagine had they been on board for the revolution, with the talent they possess it would have been the ultimate combo ...... MS, they won't be happy until they buy EVERY SINGLE BLASTED GAMES COMPANY, ggeezzz boi! and thats just it, they can't make games for shit, know am not hating but their systems don't just cater for games but they want it to reach multi - media depths.

Sony and MS both are struggling to play catchup with what to REALLY capture peoples imgination, this is NINTENDOS back yard chumps, what the heck did you expect from them.

Nintendo were ALL ABOUT GAMES from the start and their STILL ALL ABOUT GAMES now, forgeting other usless function that have no real need for game developers .....

..... only games, simple as FULLSTOP!

I'm still undecided regarding RevPatentLeaker. I will need to see some more to convince me, but since the stuff he writes is so good, he should keep it up anyway.

I think there would have been less people complaining about the controller if Nintendo had mentioned or shown the standard controller shell add-on. I'm looking forward to the end of the year to see what else Nintendo has in store for gamers. Some game demos would be especially nice.

It's quite funny when people make comments about Nintendo growing up, after all, the company have been making some form of games since 1889. You think they would have grown up by now.

hmm I wonder where RevPatentLeaker went to? The webpage that I linked too has been showing me "ACCESS DENIED: CONFIDENTIAL & SENSITIVE MATERIAL" ever since the day after I posted it.

: - / i hope i didn't screw something up for RevPatentLeaker...yikes!!!. umm yeah. The japanese characters ? looks again. OH those, hmm not real you say. Ask your friend if they have some sort of japanese form, if it could be a form of Japanese Encryption. I would think if this thing is secret that RevPatentLeaker wouldn't have wanted anyone to interpret it. Those three symbols must have some meaning to only him and whoever was passing that transmittal.

A Japanese Encryption, since every language is just placing meaning to symbols maybe those have some meaning. Ask you friend if that's possible. RevPatentLeaker, if that pic you posted was legit or maybe an obscurred message that hides the truth of some more features to come then it might be the only REAL proof you have of showing these people that you are LEGIT.

but then again : - / ...you probably don't even care if they think your'e legit. After all the shit they say about you you never fight back. I wonder why...hmm. You're not like that serious gamer 007 bitch at all. He was Always trying to hog attention and kept saying "I know..this is that.i 100% know". Then all of a sudden he hates nintendo. Friggin Loser. The more I think about this the more you seem to be like a guy that's really really playing it low as if you had a REAL reason for playing it low. If you are risking it all showing us stuff, then don't man. its not worth it, some of these people here will never understand. Thank you though, for your messages in the past, they have definitely broaden my understanding of what Nintendo was trying to do.

You innovated the way of revealing information, no pictures, no super hype, no stupid bogus facts, and even if all that "pre-cognition" self-induced extrapolation and forced pattern deduction crap that one dude said you were actually doing to our minds through your messages is true, then...you're pretty damn good...and yet...I will always ask myself.. ...how come no one can f-ing* explain WHY you used THOSE EXACT words you did such that they almost exactly matched what happened. No one can..and no one will ever be able to shed light on the mysterious darkness that is RevPatentLeaker.

End of story. Peace!

Nintendo said they werent making much money for them, which sadly was true

As much as I love rare, they only came out with one game for this gen.

I agree with you completely on the loss of rare though, its been like 4 yrs and I am still upset (someone hold me).

PD just doest seem right on an XBOX and niether does banjo kazooie, which i doubt we'll ever see again

I do hope that they put PD dark on the DS though, WIFI perfect dark just sounds so sweet

Thanks for that clear up house husband, I suppose we just have to wait and see what the coming months ( or years ) bring.

I truely feel gutted for Rare. Here we have one of the finest developers in the world producing for .... well MS. Now don't get me wrong , good for them ( I guess ) but the partnership between these two just don't gell right, theres NO conection what so ever. I always looked at Rare being the dark persona of Nintendo, producing the games Nintendo themselves wouldn't do. The most sad thing about this is that the characters that Rare produced for Nintendo won't spark that same magic with MS.

Rare are themselves all about innovation and strive themselves to produce the most intrical, great addictive games :

Goldeneye, nuff said.

Perfect dark, nuff said.

Banjo Kazooie, that was brillant.

They are going to produce games on the DS so it isn't all doom and gloom. The DS will more than make money for them ( as well as MS) what Rare need to do is for their sakes leave MS only so that we may get those unique experiences we've come to expect. Its no good MS throwing money at them if the games they create for THEIR system don't sell, MS are TOO PC orientated.

Imagine the possibilities of them making PD on the Revolution.

I can only but hope such a thing happens!

PEACE TO YOU ALL : )

nintendo can doo anything with this and there not telling all yet, so how many controllers can you chose from? 1)Remote style 2)GamecubeWavebird
3)Remote with shell style
4)Shell no remote style?
5)Nintendo ds wifi connects to revolution!! remember? possibilities!!
6)Old school style/sideways maybe you can turn off/on motion sensor?
7)I imagin the will have games where you might play with one controller and maybe during certain parts you pick up the remote for.....let your imagination guide you/ or just use the shell and the will have on/off motion sensor. Plus with the ds connected for who knows what

piont and case the possibilitys are end less and you dont know it! to argue is pointless, i think i even detected a little jelousy in the VP of xbox, on his new interview about the controller, but dont get me wrong he admitted that it was great.

.OH man the possiblities..of this remote. ITs like a magic wand. Think of it, you are no longer restricted to Button pressing or 2 dimensional orthographic planar motion. You understand this realm of motion that has been opened up! like RevPatentLeaker said:

"Posted Sep 4, 2005, 4:14 PM ET by RevPatentLeaker
It lies within ...a space*...of four dimensions

a cordial invitation has been cast out across the electromagnetic spectrum* that binds all..

all energy is bound by this time and the clock* has reached 00:00:00 ON Sep 16 2005 and the resets will disrupt the memories that elluded us"

So like he said (again wayy back before the controller was revealed) we have three dimensional motion in a SPACE, or in three planes and you could count twisting as a FOURTH dimension. Thats alot of things we can do.

Yes, controlling the X-Wing for the Revolution's line up of Star Wars Rebel Squadron games and even weilding the light saber.

Sword fights in Zelda and like that one guy said we need not limit ourself to just one controller. A remote-remote comination could do well for a sheild and sword, or using the remote at certain points in the game.

Also, since full range of motion is detected then we could use signals to access certain things! Imagine actually conducting with the wind baton for Wind Waker 2...or motioning symbols or patterns with your remote to open doors and break codes!

This eliminates the need for additional buttons, and could give new "gestures" to do things in the game, custom gestures. Imagine swirling your hand around in a closing swirl loop pattern then dashing the remote through the middle. This could signal some powerful beam weapon to activate in samus' arsenal!

the fourth dimension it lies in for REAL dood. I also asked a friend of mine what this reference to "clock" could mean. He said its interesting that he can actually see the connection (besides him thinking im delusional)and is pretty sure that RevPatentLeaker was infact trying to hint at the ACCELERATION sensing feature. Acceleration is interpreted with respect to TIME = CLOCK "all energy is bound by this time and the clock [...]" . and SPACE. And indeed this "electromagnetic spectrum" was RevPatentLeaker descbring that the pointing device was shooting information back to the sensor bars.

Lastly... I just find it ..rEALLY freaky that this is happening. I just read that EB games is sold out of XBox 360's ...and I also read that the Sony's Europe Division president just retired after 18 months on the job. Now tell me..TELL ME PLEAS someone cause i think this is insane...HOW in the hell did RevPatentLEaker know this without insider info before this news came out. this was the message in his last (and i believe final) post #900 posted on SEP 16! 16th mind you!:

..look their minons amongst you*
are receeding....
because they fear the japanese wraith*

now the green one* moves one month* into stagnation
and the shifting of globes for the white one*
will seal their damnation

?????
What the f*** is up with that?

PEACE. Flaezk you're lucky you saved it! I think i have the pic somewhere on my pc. take care buddy. RevPatentLeaker I can't wait to get online to kick your ass for leaving us like this..but then again..hmm maybe there isn't anything more to reveal. We've seen the controller and the hardware under the box remains. I believe we've seen what tools and new abilities will ENABLE the revolution to occur..now it just lies in our imagination.

Peace

JTC, J, Flaezk, etc.: I understand your passion, and I feel it too, but then again, aren't we speculating a little too much? We are not 100% sure about the responsiveness of this controller/Remote, let alone which peripherals will it use, and most importantly, the quality and amount of games that will take full advantage of the "four dimensions" that we're not yet sure we can use.

I wouldn't want all these features to end up being a shitty controller that delays response or that responds poorly, or worse yet, a controller that responds great but with few games to really take advantage of it.

Let's just hope nintendo lives up to the hype, which they almost usually do, as I've never been let down by them.

The only thing nintendo has lagged on is 3rd party support, and yet their games have been in-fucking-credible, and this time around, i'm sure they'll have better games, both classic interface and new interface, and better yet, all the best developers are supporting the revolution.

Hi folks,

I too have followed this whole thread and RevPatentLeaker's kept us all going.... but I have my doubts. I have saved his images and he had a much clearer version hidden on his site.

Go to one of his pages, right click, view source... You can find the following on his site !!!!!

THE IMAGE OF THE DEVICE IN CLARITY....
http://www.geocities.com/revpatentleaker/enter_files/image001.png

A HIDDEN IMAGE
http://www.geocities.com/revpatentleaker/negative_files/image003.png

Also my worst concern is that these pages are written using Microsoft Word and saved. Not the nicest way to make a website but if you are daft enough to leave your name in your Word setup, then it is hidden in the Page Source...

so is RevPatentLeaker == Irwin Baptiste !!!!!!

Who are you Irwin... ? Doesn't sound very Japanese? or like a Nintendo insider...

but I still like the way you talk !

#974, go look at my post #947, where I explain in great detail how he "knew." Nintendo had already said that it would be similar to the nintendo zapper btw, when they said it would be compatible with all previous nintendo games.

#971, I am not sure how you come to the idea that twisting is a "4th" dimension, but, to be blunt: no. There are 3 ways you can twist soemthing in 3 dimensional space, so calling it "6 dimensional" might at least make some sense, because a different kind of sensor is required to detect twisting than motion.

As for what "four dimensions" might mean? We do actually live in a 4 dimensional world, with time being the 4th dimension of corse.

Once again this is a case of attempting to get meaning from something completely lacking it. When RevPatentLeaker said "four dimensions," in the next sentence he said "electromegnetic spectrum." Both of these are ideas related to physics. As we live in a 4 dimensional world, and the controller was rumored to have gyroscopic abilities, the four dimensions would be the ones that the controller would be used in. The electromegnetic spectrum could have come from the report by Nintendo that the controller would be wireless.

I think what RevPatentLeaker then said that an invitation had been sent from the date of september 16 2005, so I think what he was really saying was that he had been sent a message across 4 dimensional space(through time), by means of the electromegnetic spectrum.

It is especially interesting to me that he said "00:00:00 ON Sep 16 2005" with capital ON, referring to the nonexistant Nintendo ON system. If the Nintento ON had come out, then we would all look at RevPatentLeaker and see at how he had predicted the release of the ON in that post, and bow to his glory. If the ON didn't come out, then our brains ignore the ON part because no meaning can be made of it, because the ON does not exits.

Of corse, this is all speculation, because nobody really knows what he meant, because he was so vague, and did not convey what his meaning was.

Whatever the meaning of what he said, it did not give anybody any information, and was not useful in any way until Nintendo did the Keynote Speech, and then we could all speculate on what he meant.

I dont know if it was meant to give us information or intrigue us with nintendo. I mean, think of it. If you were RevPatentLeaker, would you seriously give out information and then claim glory to yourself. Its like flaezk said "dont spoil this for us". wouldn't it have sucked if he bluntly said "Hey doods.. the revolution is a remote control with an A button on it and you can wave it like a wand and it can hook up other shit..later : - / ...end transmission..peace"

HAHAHAH man that would have SUCKED. Seriously if you were someone with insider info but you loved nintendo would you have given this out??? I dont think so. I mean ..it sorta like he started out wanting to give info but stopped and got all gibberish on us.

Second, if for instance RevPatentLeaker was indeed such a masterful writter and genius of all that is verbatim...then lets say he constructed all of this to get into our minds and mess with our brain pattern recognition (mine especially), wouldn't you assume that he would have at least half the IQ to figure out that people would come snooping after him, select some silly english name and post his website on YAHOO, mind you YAHOO/GEOCITIES of all places, in WORD with a name available?????

Precisely... you wouldn't would you. You would think he was being top secret and try to hide stuff and then you find this and your'e like.."okayy". I dont know, it might be precisely what he wants, to cast doubt. Pure doubt and leave it in the realm of speculation. If it were fact then blammoo here comes SONY with their final design on their controller with "4 way motion" Shoulder buttons that you can click up, click down, drag (tilt) left , drag (right)...sorta like a Hat switch.

Now that i see it clearly, it shows the ..whatchyamacall it..analogue stick in "floating config".

I asked my friend about this, he said that it makes sense. If you were playing the revo shell controller and say you were using the remote away from the screen more and more or you're in an awkward position then maybe there'd be awkwardness with the way you translate motion on hte screen. Try it. turn your game cube controller upside down or hold it in reverse or something and play mario sunshine! HAHAAHHAH. My friend thinks that a floating config would be needed to allow you to hold the shell controller any way you want and not mess up the direction you're "running" in or whatever. kinda make sense, it communicates with the controller.

I dont have much confidence in that pic. I truley think he was just drawing some shit or messing around on his website and hinting at new features perhaps. But yeah he's still cool. Word file or not lol. I think he is hiding something...and throwing us off his trail pretty good. I am VERY happy with the real revolution. The controller and the tools it affords us to future a Gaming revolution. this i think was the brunt of RevPatentLeaker's info. To stop worrying about gizmo's and techno-fact-crap, to start imagining and being creative. Maybe thats why he chose to hype it in a different way, in a quiet way only in this forum so a select few would know.

He is sorta like nintendo with just their base of devoted fans, very creative, quiet, not too fore-bearing but intriguing and with good quality stuff. I just wish RevPatentLeaker would come back and join the bunch. He has good ideas and he must be a real person. Serious gamer has officially lost it, I dont think i want to play with him on the revo wifi. He might take out a Samus 10 simultaneous missle launcher and just start raging on people in Animal Crossing..a game which i have never played mind you.

Peace

"Hi" you keep saying that RevPatentLeaker's words and messages have NO meaning what so ever. This is what you said and i quote:

"Once again this is a case of attempting to get meaning from something completely lacking it."

I dont understand how you can make this assumption right off the bat. How do you know what has meaning with respect to what and in which context ??? Have you even considered the sociological metaphorical conceptual factors that impact what it means to "mean" something??? 6+ billion people on this earth thats 6+ billion ideologies my friend seriously. I still think you're in denial or you want to offer some sort of balance to it all.

But in the end maybe it doesnt matter, maybe ..just maybe ..was revpatentleaker so damn good that he had you, the doubter in more doubt (microsoft + sony..remember how that ball headed microsoft J-allard dood said Nintendo is not even a competition anymore and laughed at us!!!!), and me the believer in more belief (those who had to sit and take all other people's bullshit cuz we supported a company that gave a shit about us and their jobs)?????.

Ever watch Criss angel mindfreak??? How the hell did that guy levitate??? Did i just see him levitate or did he make me believe that he was levitating ..and the person sitting next to me..and the person in the house next door and some other 10 million baffled people. Same thing..same thing. I will not know so i cling to the concept that is most assuring ..with respect..to me and my "meaning" system.

Latest Revolution spec rumor:
http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20050923-5344.html

Pretty much inline with what I know except for the dual threaded CPU as opposed to a dual core. Perhaps RevPatentLeaker was wrong when he made reference to Nintendo enhancing Broadway, unless he thought the specs were going to be lower (2.5 Ghz and the cache sizes). I will say I am impressed with the 512 MB of CPU memory and 256 MB of GPU memory (assuming those are correct because I was under the impression that it was a total of 512 MB of memory for the CPU/GPU) and another 32 MB of PPU (Physics Processing Chip) memory.

TO ME WHAT STANDS OUT ABOUT YHE KNEW SPECS GIVEN BY HAN SOLO IS THE PPU.

THAT PPU MAKES A WHOLE LOT OF SENSE THIS KNEW CONTROLLER'S GONNA BE PHYSICS INTENSIVE.

THINK ABOUT THE OLD STYLE OF CONTROLLING MOST GAMES YOU JUST PRESS A TO PICK SOMETHING UP THERE'D BE A LITTLE ANIMATION AND IT WOULD BE STORED IN AN INVENTORY MENU NO PHYSICS REQUIRED.

NOW WITH THIS REMOTE STYLE CONTROLL EVERYTHING YOU PICK UP WILL BE SUBJECT TO GRAVITY,
PLUS IT'LL HAVE TO SIT IN YOUR VIRTUAL HAND JUST RIGHT,
THEN YOU'LL PROBABLY WANT TO THROW IT AROUND MAKING IT SUBJECT MOMENTUM ,
THEN IT'LL HAVE TO BREAK PLUS IF WHATEVER YOU THROW IT AT (IF WEAK AND WHAT YOUR THROWING IS HEAVY ENOUGH) WILL THEN HAVE TO BREAK ASWELL.

AND THEN 4PLAYER REQUIRES FOUR TIMES AS MUCH PHYSICS NOT TO MENTION COMPUTER CONTROLLED CHARECTURES THROWING STUFF THATS A LOT OF PHYSX AND A LOT OF THROWING.
PS. RING RING RING BANANA PHONE CLASSIC
THANKS FOR THAT.

yeah like an Apple Shuffle come to think of it..

I just found this NEW image on RevPatentLeaker's website. I dont know why he keeps putting stuff up and not telling people. This is so freaking wierd but I believe its his own drawings he is making. I dont think these are no where near official but it'd be cool if they were. the fact that he never gives links to these or not talk about them must probably mean they're of no use. But i must say he has some nice concepts!

Im thinking the shell controller cannot be that complex of a thing particularly if nintendo is truly aiming for a "simple neat looking" style aestheticly...with more polygonal shapes to match the remote and the unit. So the shell might not even look like the GC controller..i just really have a hard time thinking of how they're gonna fit a remote in a shell..that fits in your hand..wierd.

But then i saw this image:

http://www.geocities.com/revpatentleaker/enter_files/transmittal003341_034A.JPG

I hope they load the shell up with new features to reduce the number of buttons on it yet leaving it with alot of functionality. sorta like how RevPatentLeaker's little drawing has 2 buttons with get this 5 way! motion. That way you can keep the number of buttons down but then again you would need some additional button or so to do things requiring two buttons to be held down simultaneously. for example when you are locked on, shooting and double dashing to dodge opponent fire while attacking in metroid prime...you hold the trigger (to lock) keep tapping A (to fire) and tapping B (to dash left or right) at the same time.

How could you put this action in a 5 way motion button?? perhaps you could use the "drag left or drag right" to enable the double dashing while "clicking up" on the (same button mind you) to lock and maybe pressing the b button on the remote to fire. problem solved.. i think.

blah ..the "creator" did say it was just a shell anyway.. blah. maybe RevPatentLeaker's concept is dead on or maybe the shell has only two more buttons and a thumbstick or just two thumbstics and thats it. Come to think of it, all the shell really has to do is conform to the player's hand to giving them that "traditional two-hand" feel of playing vid games. Maybe it has just grips and two thumbsticks and one additional button or two 5-way motion buttons (like in RevPatentLeaker's drawing).

bannanana phone ..ring ring ring ring ring ringg

what the fu** dude!?
hahahhahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

RevPatentLeaker..you and your stupid drawings!! damn you! hahaha! ring ring ring ring.

Hopefully Han Solos hardware specs are very close to what they will be. With a CPU and GPU matching the xbox 360, and then an additional processing unit for physics in games, it could technically be the most powerful out of the three, especially with all that RAM. Just how reliable is this guy?

I think nintendo have achieved the simplicity they desired with the remote style controller. The way I see it, the whole purpose of the controller shell add-on, is for games which really require more buttons, especially since the system will have all those downloadable games. For example, the N64 had a D-PAD, analog stick, 4 C buttons, A, B, and START buttons, Z trigger and L and R shoulder buttons, so unless they are actully going to remap all the controls for those old games, they will need at least those buttons. Hopefully the revolution controller, both the basic and the different add-ons, will have shoulder/trigger buttons similar to the gamecube controller, with or without the digital click feature.

This could be so good that sony and microsoft might have to go back to the drawing board and they probly will... if you want to see a gimick like people have said about nintendo , wait tell you see the gimicks these companys put out to keep up, its going to be a long fun and halariouis ride for good old nintendo crowd. love.

lol yeah id love to see what they come up with. But i figure its too late now to come anywhere near Nintendo's Revolution features because this is a full system not just a part that can be added. The whole console of xbox and ps3 would have to change, and they'd have to figure out what mechanisms were used to acheive this patented..mind you..patented motion acceleration system.

Thats like another freaking 5 years of R&D for sony and ms if they want to touch Revo's plateau. So they can't do it period. All they can do is sit and wait and hope people aren't interested but we can all see that's down the drain cause alot ..and i mean alot of developers are starting to talk. New developers will pop up just because of that, perhaps new off-shoot company relationships exclusively with nintendo will pop up just for this. Imagine Prince of Persia on the revo.

RevPatentLeaker's controller sketches:
As for what ive seen so far, it didn't make much sense to me. Infact I discarded the images to be wildly out of some guy's concept but ive been staring at the for some time now and more and more his drawings make sense. Alot of sense with what nintendo is trying to aim for. If nintendo were to defy their "revolutionary" forward match then they would contradict themselves by releasing a shell controller that basically just cradles the remote. That would be like "blah" or they could have gone the extra mile..and actually evolved the traditional controller just like in RevPatentLeaker's sketches. That futuristic looking N64 gimmick actually looks like it would fit pretty snug in my hands when i look at it from a far. I would probably move the left anlogue "floating" thumbstick higher up like on the GC's layout and maybe add another digital cross pad but then...maybe we dont need that. Im thinking for a game like mortal kombat you would almost always need the digital cross pad but i figure you could force people to use the thumbstick.

The more i look at RevPatentLeaker's drawing the more it makes sense. Infact, it has a bridge and gap just like that concept IGN posted cept RevPatentLeaker's concept looks more fitting, the sharp lines the simple yet innovative approach and the nostalgia back to the N64 just like the Rev Controller had nostaligia back to the original NES/Famitsu Dont know..what you guys think.

Im just so keen on finding out what developers think of the revo and what games they have in mind that I could care less about shell controllers or system specs! ..well system specs a little but yeah games man!

LOL A GTA Mario ..man that would be sick! with downloadable "Episodes" sorta like expansion packs so we will have different stories. Damnn..an in-game "dynamic performance" engine that can create virtual movie scenes using hardcode downloaded from these episodes. Sorta like a director telling the characters in mario 128 what scenes will play out in this episode, who does what, who stands where, what treasures are hidden where and rearranges the game. Man Sounds pretty sick to me RevPatentLeaker..pretty sick buddy. Infact.. RevPatentLeaker I think you might be not too far from the truth, Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door (..i think thats the name) had some sorta performance thing to it too. Could N|N10do have actually fused an innovatively new RPG-PLATFORMER genre with Mario 128???? RevPatentLeaker tell us what you know NOW!! Come to think of it..someone once said it was gonna be called "100 Marios" which seems to reflect on "Paper Mario: 1000 Year Door" ..dont know..dont know.

LOL
PEACE

Yes Yes good folk. I got a wicked prediction of how I think the big N will Introduce a ' fresh and new " feel to their games.

PUNCH OUT.

Imagine this yeah : )imagine getting a set of gloves that supposidily could ( I reckon anyways ) connect to the Rev, controller via some kind of lead - link cable that enables the game player to further react to the action on screen, no more button pressing, NOW WITH THIS TECHNOLOGY will could ( perhaps) see our selves responing exactly what goes on screen.

eg. remember the arcade punch out game????

throw a hard right, the ingame picks out that EXACT move

jabbing and thats what you'll actually be doing jabbing....

1 ... 2 ....3 ..... the opponent blocks your 4th shot, then its HIS turn to retaliate. For you to block you ACTUALLY need to raise your gloves as in real life.

if and I do mean a big IF that type of approach is possible then I do believe that the Revolution will not be touched, I MEAN PEOPLE IMAGINE IT, ACTUALLY THROWING BARE PUNCHES AT THE SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOOOOOLLLLLLLAAAAAAAA BAAAACCCCCCCKKKKK AT THIS PLEASE

ANYONE : )

The name in his html codes is Irvin Baptiste, not Irwin. Google that name, and you will get only a handful of results. The most popular result is an Irvin Baptiste who is a captain with Gateway Airlines, Boston.

At any rate, why do his images on his website contain only GAMECUBE content. And why would a supposed conceptual design be something slapped together with MSPAINT and in ENGLISH?

maybe his site is dedicated to nintendo stuff its all misleading and doesn't make much sense at all if you ask me. Its the perfect cover up. And yeah conceptual designs could be briefly sketched up and transmitted as a scratch idea on a piece of paper.

The mystery continues but I could care less about it really. I've never held the REvo controller in my hand but by the looks of it that image shows a really GIANT controller. I think this is not a FACTUAL thing i think this is another one of his cryptic hints...cept not in poetry. He knows we're waiting for him to write again and he know's we're really curious so maybe he's trying to hint at something. Maybe what is of importance is the text and not the image of a controller or whatever.

remember Half truths and Truths...very mysterious. By the way you shouldnt post people's names without their authorization in a forum. I think the real guy can actually sue you for that. So I'd recommend you keep that to yourself before this IB character comes and sues us all! But its too late cuz you already did : - / . ..so next time dont post his name in here. I personally dont think that's his name He probably picked that guy's name or something or maybe they know each other. i think that's a brilliant cover. Someone said something about RevPatentLeaker actually being part of the N-Game..dont know.

All nintendo has to do now is come out with the specs and the shell controller and some games and this CRAZINESS will be all over.

Hey jtc I know we've had some disputes but!
I want to give you some congrats on that find it’s real good.
I’ve heard people comment on the cradle being like the n64 before
I think this guy alludes to an n64 style cradle controller.
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3144079&did=1
but at the time it didn't make any sense to me I just thought nonsense it'll be like wavebird.

But now I’m thinking on a different
level it would make a whole heap more sense to have an n64 style cradle.

First here are my thoughts on a theoretical button layout.
The two side prongs could be just like a GC controller
i.e. (left) analogue + dpad'
(right) analogue + four buttons,
each side would have a (z) button,
but instead of the analogue buttons on the shoulders ala GC they would be on the prongs and they would be controlled with your little fingers and the two next two them.
And just like rpl's diagram the remote slots into the middle.

That’s the layout I have in my mind.
Now i’m going to share some thoughts on how it could be utilized.

The first and most obvious is Zelda T.P, I think the big N will probably use this title to showcase the cradle idea, and more specifically,
the way the freehand style can be incorporated into a more traditional style game control (using the remote and cradle).
If your playing T.P on a GC its gonna be normal Zelda controls.
But play it on a rev with the remote in the cradle attachment then this is what you might find,
holding the outside prongs you will control the game exactly as you would with a cube controller.
But if you want to go toe to toe with an opponent take the controller by the middle prong for some freehand swordplay.

Of course because the controller is the same as the GC's (when held by with the outside prongs) you don’t have to wave the thing around if you don’t want to you can just play using the game cube mechanics aka: (A) opens doors, swipes sword, etc.

So onto rpl’s comment about the electric thing that reads your pulse.
For a start I’m not saying that it won’t be used in games like R.E to sense your fear because if it can it should. Imagine fighting zombie dogs that could sense your fear! That would be unreal.
But I think the primary purpose of having the electric pulse things would almost certainly be so that the controller knows which position you have your hands.
I.e.: left prong and right prong or remote and left prong or remote on its own. You get the picture.

This may leave you with the question why does it need to know which prong you’re holding.
Well that’s because if your holding the right and left prong and doing something that requires a lot of attention, but you happen to move the controller you'd end up with a sword or an arrow flying wildly across the screen (rather off-putting).
So when both hands are holding the outside prongs the pointer is turned off.
But when only one hand (or none) are touching the outside prongs it knows that one of your hands is gripping the middle prong (or remote) so turns the pointer on.

Of course a programmer can change this around. I.e. a developer making a racing game might want to turn the feature off because using this as a steering wheel might require you to hold the R/L prongs and have the pointer turned on.
Now I come to think of it a developer might want to use this to pause the game if you let go of the controller.

You might say why not just press a button every time you change hands it would save the big N money on extra sensors.
But no if you had to press a button every time you change hands it wouldn't end up being very seamless, and would constantly interrupt your game.

I’m going to give you just one more example

(sorry if I’ve bored you if so just skip to the next post)

a racing game (this is where those grip buttons come in handy) if you have a GC controller handy pick it up and hold it like a steering wheel.
I don’t have one handy so this is speculative,
I’m guessing those shoulder buttons aren’t comfortable when you hold it like that,
So instead of it having shoulder buttons it has grip buttons which would be comfortable in any position

so then as well as having an accelerator (L grip), brake (R grip)
and a steering wheel (cradle) you could also use one of the analogue sticks as a gear stick.

I don’t think there’s a control style that the nunchukku or a cradle like ^this^ cant do (plus a million new ones).

Ps. Kudos to jtc for finding this.
Peace

i know this might sound like a stupid idea but- whats wrong with the controller simply sticking out the top of the controller "shell" a bit?
it doesnt HAVE to be completly consealed within the "shell" y'know.
therefore the shape of the "shell" can be ANY shape (it doesnt need a long shaft down the centre which is big enough to conseal the controller).
to be honest - i wouldnt be surprised if something like a modified Wavebird would be the final design - much like the recent mockup.

i think that the remote would fit nicely inside a wavebird.
but you cant have one handed control with a wavebirrd think of it like this holding the outside prongs (n64 style) the layout would be the same as wavebird but hold the middle and it will be like holding the remote.

the comment made by a bigN exec about"being able to use the shell like a standard control but having the option to use the motion sensing aswell.

it wouldn't be very intuitive to use the motion thing with both hands (that would be like wearing handcuffs), you cant use a GC controller with one hand but if you hold the n64 controller in the middle its quite comfortable with one hand.

Personally.. I wish they wouldnt even talk about the shell. Do you guys think its some big blurt out mistake they made saying this like the last time when they said the Rev was only 2-3 times more powerful than the GC and then few weeks later N|N10do said that their own guy who said this made a mistake...and didn't really know what he was talkinga bout.. LMAO!!!

Maybe they shoudln't have bla bla'd about the shell. Now people are looking for it like hungry wolves. They almost killed the focus on the controller. Worse off that serious gamer dude went on brambling bout how they shoulda shown the real deal crap then comes out and says he was lying and he doesn't know jack. WTF

I think they should have just shown the remote and the thumbstick nanchuck thing and said "thats it :)" and never say anything about a shell that can hold the remote. People could just imagine other attachments (modular) to mimick the other past console controllers but now its frustrating. All i have to go by are our theories on what is pratical and what may fit with the info given from nintendo and what revpatentleaker was doodling...

Go figure. LOL . Hopefully this all ends with games ..games we can PLAY! N|N10do could throw in a full body one size fits all suit that motion captures your every move for all i care! LOL show us some gamessss

especially that GTA mario shiznittz.. the remote and nanchuck is enough to go by for now. Jacob you're comments are interesting. Don't worry im cool...who cares about fighting blah ...now that ive read your stuff i can defintely look at what RevPatentLeaker drew and visualize the outer prongs much shorter and with buttons underneathe. which is very interesting because in his drawing he refers to a 5-way motion button but its not shown in the top view..so maybe its really underneathe.which would actually fit perfectly in your hand. Could this be the actual shell?? dont know...dont think so. I just wait for official news nowdays. Sometimes, just once in a while, this revpatentleaker mystery becomes way more exciting than consoles coming out themselves. its like a really really Fucked up online Zelda hunt. lol

I gotta jet.. gotta watch Prison Break, WWE Raw, and Laguna Beach all at the same time. : - /

It seems Han Solo's system specs were wrong, unless of course Matt from ign's gamecube channel is wrong. Factor5 claim's Han Solo isn't a factor5 employee, how they would find out I would not know. I don't really think they have the legal power to monitor their employees home computer traffic.

If only RevPatentLeaker would give us something to steer us in the right direction.
