E3 is about to kick off all official-like. We'll be up bright and early (west coast time) so we can stand in line
and be shoulder to shoulder with game-peers. We've been here for two days and we're exhausted and excited at the same
time. What the hell is waiting for us behind those closed doors? I want to get some sleep badly, but I'd suck it up if
the Fairy Godmother waved her wand and made it morning right now.
As many of you have pointed out, all the eye-candy talk here in LA means zilch until we get our hands on the games. We
expect to see Xbox 360 romps in some kind of playable form somewhere, somehow. We do not expect the same from Sony or
Nintendo on the home console front. Yes, that will color the coverage, and that's how it should be. Real product trumps
imaginary product every time.
I can say one thing with absolute conviction, Joystiq is thrilled to be here, and we're excited about ALL of the
consoles, as well as the PC. We're kids in a candyland, folks, and you can be sure we'll leave here sick but
happy.
