More Metal Gear than you can handle
Kojimasan has news for us Metal Gear fans.
Lots and lots of news. Firstly, in a similar vein to Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, comes Metal Gear Solid 3:
Subsistence. Additions will include online play, duel mode, and the previous two MGS games. Sounds like a good way to
cap MGS off on the PS2 to us.
Then there's news of Metal Gear Acid 2. Sadly, it's still just PSP based. There's also news of Metal Gear Solid 4, for
PS3. We can only imagine how stunning that will look, if MGS2 on the previous generation is anything to go on.
So go forth, read all the PR releases, and get metal fatigue.

It's great on PSP, being turn based prefect to play for 5 minutes at a time. Just waiting for some kind of video-out.

I hope it is not out doors this next go-around. I personally think it ruied the series taking the game into the jungle. But my opion in not very popular.

"and the previous two MGS games."
Afaik, you’re wrong. It’s not going to feature the previous two MGS games, it is going to feature the first two Metal Gear games!
That’s right, Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the MSX system.

David, Metal Gear Solid 3 is an awesome game :). And it’s not the first time Snake is in the jungle, the abovementioned Metal Gear 2 also featured several jungle areas.

Maybe it was the lack of the lovable radar and the constritive upward facing camera that killed it for me. It just did not feel like a MG game to me. The pace was too slow.
Still like the series and I do not want them to stop trying to be innovative. I simply did not like the last game one bit.

As a long time MGS fan (never played the older ones), I thought Snake Eater was the best of the series. The story was absolutely bar none, really emotional stuff, and it was loaded with awesome gameplay moments like the fight with The End. (Thought not being able to save in that middle of that looooong fight... NOT COOL!) Plus, the title song is extremely karaokeable. ;P

The whole MGS series rocks, personally i can not choose between twin snakes (gamecube mgs1) sons of liberty and snake eater. they are each different but brilliant. i have never played acid, and have heard mixed reviews. snake eater's jungle setting was brilliant, and the lack of the radar was a brilliant move; brought the game to a new level of realism. also, i loved the game's bond-esque storyline, and the end was sooo sad! the boss battles were also much improved on mgs2, after the brilliant bosses on twin snakes. oh yeh, i didnt notice a different camera at all?!?! it was slightly different but hardly worse!
mgs4 looks amazing with old snake. i would have thought kojima-san would have given us another new playable character, meaning there would have been different protagonists for all 4 mgs games, but apparantly we are playin as snake. good news. better than raiden. also, cant wait to play mgs3 online, and to finally experience metal gear and metal gear 2.
