Cthulhu. H.P. Lovecraft's gothic horror universe is the
perfect setting for a video game. Surprisingly, though, it's rarely been used.
The upcoming survival horror game based on the license is looking and sounding suitably creepy. A lot of the appeal of
Lovecraft's horror is what is left to the imagination. In an era where scares in movies and games seem to involve
getting up close and personal with a beastie, it's nice to face the prospect of being scared half to death by the
psychological aspect, rather than having it shoved in your face. Here's hoping they don't mess this one up.
