Game Boy Micro vs. Game Boy Advance SP

Ok, ok, i'm sorry but i couldn't stand it. Why the hell does everyone think that the GBM should be everything!? I mean seriously, you guys are like expecting it to be fricking everything! You guys want it to be a tv, a radio, an ipod, an mp3 player, a bigger actual system (which, by the way, would defeat the perpose), A bigger screen, awesome graphics, a movie player, etc. etc. What the hell is wrong with you people. I can't think of a single handheld gaming system that does half of these. Why the hell should this one? God you people are retarded.

... that is the biggest; I mean smallest load of BS i've ever seen, I can buy a GB SP for the same price that is bigger, makes it's own light. I can buy a game cube with that 100 dollars!!! I mean god that machine is crap.

Argh, yet another dumb gimmick from nintendo... when will they learn? I have enough trouble trying to play with the screen on my SP, let alone somthing that's half the size!!

Ok look I did fly off the handle big time, but I've had an extremely annoying past with certain people when it comes to the gaming community. When I say posers, I mean the people who say crap like "Nintendo sucks! All they make is E-rated games!" The problem with that is, what makes a game is it's gameplay. A good example is Mario Sunshine, I thought the theme was so stupid, but when I played it at my friends house, it turned out to be really fun. I don't mean posers posing as gamers, I just mean people who like what the general public likes just because it's all 'cool' and crap. Look I'm sorry I may have pissed off some people, but like I said I've had some bad experiences with some extremely ignorant people. And when I said "ignorantly knowing what system is best." I didn't mean that I do, I'm just referring to the people who think others' preferences don't matter. I didn't mean to come off as a jerk, I really am a nice guy, but when I hear/read certain kinds of crap, it gets to me.

The Micro will be around 100 dollars. No ones forcing you to buy a micro, or even use one, so why get so hept up about it? It's merely a smaller GBA that works.

I say they should make a original game boy advance with a backlit screen. if not then I think I'll stick with my SP.

ok, we are all nerds, I am and so are the other people that posted before me, get over it.

I want this GBM for one reason, the size, yes its small, I work for a living and cant always be playing my video games on the computer, but with something this small, I can play it at work and when I see the supervisors walking around, there will be less chance of one of them seeing it and ruining my fun. I work in a call center and getpretty burnt out, but with the help of Phantasy Star, Final Fantasy 1 and 2 and Zelda, I might just make it thru the day.

I dont know if anyone posted this yet, and I dont care to read all of the threads, but I seriously dont think Nintendo will do too well with selling this thing, The 360 will be coming out soon and most ppl who want the 360, which Im sure there are quite a few, aren't going to want to spend $100 on the micro right before they spend $400 on the 360, perhaps they should have decided on a much earlyer release date, May or June would have been best.

I don't know just more re-hash of the same old stuff. My next handheld purchase will be the Linux based GP2X with a *3.5"* backlit screen and dual 200 MHz cores. It is not as mainstream but I already have my PSP for that. Nintendo should have made the screen a little larger for this and at least fill up the center more. I like how they concaved in the center as to not make the screen appear as tiny as it is.

Guys, (and girls) it's Game Boy "Micro". KEYWORD: Micro; everybody stop complaining, it shouldn't be bigger why do you think it has the name it does. If you want a bigger screen buy the SP if you don't already have one.

No, the new micro doesn't play the old Gameboy Games, just the sp games.

i think that the screen is WAY, WAY, too small. why would you guys make a screen that is so small that you can hardly see tha screen on and hit the buttons to play? The sp is so much better.!!!!
