The highest bidder will probably put the faceplate on a cardboard box and sell it for $1500 two days before the 360 comes on the market and claim it's a real 360. This IS eBay, after all, home and haven for all scammers and con artists.

At the first comment, I've seen much worst auctions. A guy was selling an iBook G4 box and some retard thought it was an iBook. The auction went to 800$ for a box. And it was clearly labeled as a box. So a box is much more useless than a faceplate for a game console and made more money.

It is easy for you to say useless. You are there and you are able to attend. While I agree $242 is way to high, but I still want one of those face plates.

It's not useless if you plan to make these things. getting your hand on one of them now make sure you can have lots of different colours and designs ready to ship when the 360 finally arrives.
