Four European studios are already hard at work on exclusive titles for the PlayStation 3. Killzone 2, Formula One,
Heavenly Sword, and MotorStorm are four very different games (not necessarily unique or groundbreaking) that will offer
fans some nice variety at launch—assuming these titles will be ready by launch. And we all know that exclusive titles
will play a major role in the battle of the next-gens.
Formula One and MotorStorm seem too ordinary to make a difference. And we already have our doubts about Heavenly
Sword—"free-style combat"? But as we've seen, the Killzone sequel could be big. Real big.
European developers look to be major players in PS3 exclusivity game

But....but...but...Revolution will play decades old games like TecmoBowl and Mario's Pocket Pool! How will PS3 compete?

Motorstorm's video compared with Killzone as far as visuals go - it was outstanding.

This story is pointless and speculative.
No member of the public has seen gameplay of any PS3 exclusive game; How can you be making judgements and predictions about games with just conceptual CG trailers?

I am so looking forward to Killzone 2. Killzone was one of the few games I paid $50 for soon after it came out and thought it was an awesome experience. There's no reason why Killzone 2 shouldn't look like the trailer Sony unveiled at E3. The graphics in Killzone were amazing.

But, c'mon... underline "could be" for Killzone 2. Anyone involved in graphics knows that the E3 teaser was produced by a company that specializes in motion picture quality trailers. That kind of quality in game play is 5 years out, minimum.

Killzone 2 and Motorstorm were RENDERED CG!!!
Get that in your head:
RENDERED CG!
The makers have admitted it, Sony reps have admitted it. My question is, wheres the story about that on here?

Whoa, talk about bias!
Let me get this straight...
XBOX 360 demos run on apple alpha devkit = OK
Sony demos videotaped from alpha devkit feed = Evil Sony
Grow up dudes.

Wasn't Jade Empire "free-style combat"?

I am biased indeed but...
Next E3 will actually be much more interesting than this one. At the same point next year, we would be able to judge if Microsoft have delivered, and judged if Sony PS3 games lived up to the expection. I bet they will ;-)
Meantime, there is still a lot to toy with. PSP and DS, We love Katamari, Shadow of the colossus, Zelda, Burnout 4... Christmas will be good this year again, with or without next-gen...

correct. microsoft showing games on their development systems 6 months before the system is released, as well as repeatedly stating that the games they were showing were in development and running on devkits is honest. the games were running on hardware weaker than the final system configuration.
sony, however, passed their concept videos off as gameplay footage very intentionally intending to deceive without saying anything. showing a prerendered sequence from a first person perspective view in the style of an fps is deceptive. it wasn't from an alpha kit. it was from a cgi house responsible for trailers for other scee games. so yes, sony=evil, or at least, full of emotion engine.
