Rick has a bone to pick. It's the balancing
puzzle, most recently seen in the largely well received God of War.
The author has a big problem with puzzles that require your character to traverse narrow spaces. I can't say I've
personally encountered one of these recently. Certainly not one that annoyed me. Of course, God of War is just sitting
here, awaiting the day I actually have time to play it. Knowing about narrow spaces near the start of the game doesn't
exactly fill me with an overwhelming desire to fire it up. Perhaps that's the point Rick was trying to make.
Do balancing puzzles in games bother you? The writer certainly has a major beef with them, with good cause; but have
you personally been frustrated by one?
