Ah! After the hype and gluttony of the recent E3, there's bound to be someone who is unhappy about it all.
The linked article tears E3 a giant, gaping new one, even going so far as to say the event has no use. An interesting
point. What purpose does E3 serve these days? I mean all but the most dense gamer has their BS detector on high alert.
We take terms like "real time" with a pinch of salt, subtituting them for "pre-rendered" in our heads. So all but the
most enthusiastic gamer will be cynical that anything we're shown can be delivered. And from this article, it sounds
like a lot of the media, who are there to write copy to pimp the wares on display, are getting fooled as well.
An interesting read. I really enjoyed all the movies and demos that came out from this year's E3, but I got to check
them out from the comfort of my own home. Maybe those on the frontline have a different story to tell.
