GTA: Liberty City Stories for the PSP pics leaked?

We just got a tip from SINYAKUZA:

A friend of mine has an FTP server that he lets me and a bunch of people use. Theres tons of stuff on there, and I happened to come across these. No telling if theyre real, and if they are, where he got them. I just put them up on photobucket just in case they are…you never know. Anyways here are the links:

Judging by the text in the first one, it appears to be some sort of beta. Like I said, I dunno if they were real, and I have nothing to do with them…

definatley looks believable, the ingame screen looked awesome! and the multiplayer... *drool*

Judging on the public beta text, the game might have been downloaded onto the memory stick and play from it. Exibit A: Coming from a FTP sever, you could possibly download that game onto your memory stick and play it. It might have been a beta release in that allocation.

They're fake, plain and simple, the admin of PlanetGrandTheftAuto.com has already asked Rockstar personally, and they told them that they were most definately fake.

Who cares? That's my question. PSP is useless.

This is a bit off subject, but most of u guys out there are in college or high school, so chances are that you have a ti-84. well if u do, u can use the usb cable that came with it for psp to computer hookup! that means the $20 you would spend to buy a cable with, u can now buy beer with! everyone wins! ya-hoooo!

A usb cable doesn't cost 20 bucks. I paid 5 for one that doubles as a charger.

This looks beautiful, for a handheld at least. And all you idiots that go on about "WHOCARES, PSP IS USELESS... LAWL, MY DS IS OWNAGE... LAWN, ROFLCAKES... !!!11!11~~~AHAHHAHAHAHAHA" should be shot.

Two weeks old. FAKE!!! Look at the 5th one it has a picture of CJ, off of San Andreas. Very old news. They are totaly fake. Look at psphacker.com to find out.

Looks great! Depending on the depth of the multi-player - this has "killer app" potential. Think of it as Nintendogs for males 18 to 35.

Oh... and Dimirti: Your Mom wants you to hang-up the modem so she can use the phone.

you guys know that the psp can display jpg images right? how hard would it be to fire up photoshop and create a couple images and display them on the psp, snap some out of focus shots and claim to have the first ever shots of game x?

Wow, hope you guys do not get tooooo excited, these are all fakes. The clue is on the last shot, the map is an oval shape, that is what happens when you stretch the original map on the PS2 version, and the layout is the same. All it is, is a good photoshop version with menus that probably are homemade.

In reply to LINES comment, can we shoot all the people that go in to the DS and do that??? Or would you have a problem with that?

Swac... I only attempted to jab Dimitri because his above posts did contain an ounce of maturity nor did they do anything to advance the nature or content of this discussion.

Now in all seriousness I�m not sure that either the DS or PSP have brought forth that killer app yet (the title that instills someone to run out and buy the hardware because they HAVE to play a game (i.e. Zelda, Gran Turismo, Halo, GTA III, Star Wars: KOTOR, Rogue Squadron, etc.). Nintendogs looks like it could be that first such title for the DS. My point is that on the PSP side (faked images or not), anything more than a cursory offering at multi-player in the GTA title could be just that for a certain segment of the population (i.e. it certainly isn�t for kids and it most likely is not going to appeal to women at large).

Nintendogs will be a great title..IF you like that type of game...DS is a great system..IF you like Nintendo first-party games and a handful of third-party titles...PSP is a great system...IF you want developer support equivalent to PS2 on a high-tech handheld...guarantee you this: Nintendo will release two follow-up systems after DS before Sony even thinks of replacing PSP. and that doesn't mean DS is shit, either..its just a very different machine.

hey Dmitri (#32), if it doesn't live up to the hype then ignore it, act like you are playing it for it's content, and stop complaining (I'm not saying this should change your thinking DS is better).

Honestly DS and PSP have really not had much software at all. Regardless of which system you prefer, tell me you are satisfied with their software so far and why. I have a PSP, play my friend's DS every now and then and I think both NEED MORE GAMES lol ... they're both nice pieces of hardware, lacking software in my opinion.

Also, I'm not the other brian. I'm um ... not him, I argued a lot for PSP previously before E3, but ended up being sort of disappointed and left waiting as far as DS and PSP go (I will own both eventually i guess, assuming they both have MORE games, which i'm sure they will by christmas ... unfortunately).

Looking forward to Hunters when it does come out, though. I'll probably be buying a PSP when it's released later in the year (when I get my student loan through :D) because I like having the best of both....same with me buying an XBOX360 or PS3 as well as the Revolution....

Eh. Handhelds dont even concern me anymore. I have no use for them so if other people like them, then a thumb up to them. I just dont see the point of playing a console, and then playing a handheld for 5 minutes while I am on the bus.

One problem with the PSP being able to display JPEGS and MP4 files is that you can fake screen shots easily. I mean I could take a video of Haloo running and upload it to my PSP and then take some pictures of it and some people on the net would believe it.

I'm not into my PSP any more. Man was I excited when it came out though. Now that I've played the heck outta wipeout, I don't think it makes a good portable system. Load times in portable games are the worst and the battery means I have to take the huge charging system with me when I travel. :( Not very portable at that point.

As it is said this game is based in Liberty City, as was GTA3 and these could be photoshopped images from GTA3 being displayed on the psp, and if you look closely at the radar in the last screen shot it looks a little streched sideways, and the original GTA3 game was in 4:3 and this would hapen if it is in fact only GTA3 screen shot, but hell if this has the graphics qulaty of GTA3 with the damage of vice city and sanandreas, I would love it!

How long and far do you travel, Eran? I get a good four-five hours out of my PSP (more if I only watch movi files off the mem stick), and I'm rarely that long without an electrical outlet.

As for the pics: fake. That's CJ from GTA:SA, fer god's sake. And I can't believe that whoever faked this didn't put some effort into repositioning screen elements from the "in-game" pic to avoid the squashed loook.

Eran is speaking from the standpoint of someone who doesn't own a PSP. What is this "huge" charging system you're talking about? The charger is a cable and nothing more. Furthermore, while there is a small amount of titles for the PSP at the moment (Its been out for less than 90 days), there are FAR more games than just Wipeout Pure. So complain when you own a PSP.

Well, I was a hard core DS person, I thought there would be no way PSP could win, but then DS came out. I enjoyed it for such a long time, anticipating the release of some good games, and mario kart. But what happened? They made all these crap 2D games that could have been on the GBA. They want people to use the touch screen WAY too much and It is worthless. They arent making anything good like smash or anything because they have given up on trying... It could have been a good system... But Nintendo fuc*** up really badley... The PSP is far superior as of now because of It graphics, and ability to play movies and music. It games arent that bad either. If Nintendo pulled themselves together, they could still bring back this system.

Listen, let's get something straight. Both DS and PSP have their ups and downs. DS is fun, but totally on the lower end of the tech specs. PSP is the newest technology, but is really expensive and doesn't have too many games right now. Me? I bought a PSP, and I'm quite happy with it. In a given amount of time, it will drop in price and have a lot more games. I think they both hae appeal, but I only want one. Happy? So please grow up and quite with the bs bickering.

I don't think the screens are real because i read a preview on it and they said no online play would be featured
