CNN have a piece up, quoting Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of
Mario and Donkey Kong, who claims that what's wrong with the game industry is lack of innovation.
Is his office especially high up? Is the air thin? Or does this mean that the majority of gamers out there can expect
to be interviewed by CNN soon? This is hardly news, is it? Pretty much all the comments made are simply echoes of
comments made by gamers around the world, and for quite some time, too.
Of course, the piece ultimately is little more than hype for Revolution, but it seems strange to hear criticism over
lack of innovation, from a guy in a company making games involving the same characters they were using 20 years
ago.
